More Than Doubles Return with over $110,000 Raised
(SPRINGFIELD, VA)--With growing momentum headed into the fall campaign season, Democratic candidate for Delegate Greg Werkheiser today announced outraising his opponent, Republican David B. Albo, more than two-to-one. For the September 15th report, Werkheiser reported contributions of $114,207 to Albo's $53,726 covering July and August of this year.
Werkheiser's announcement comes on the heels of this past weekend's "MEGA Canvass," where he and 70 volunteers knocked on the doors of 10,000 voters in the 42nd in just two days.
"It is clear from his strong fundraising and powerful grassroots effort that Greg Werkheiser has the momentum in this race--and it's growing," said Werkheiser Campaign Manager David Mason. "Greg's supporters are hardworking Virginians who know that we can do better in Fairfax County."
Greg Werkheiser is the Democratic nominee for Delegate in Virginia's 42nd House District. He is a nonprofit director and educator who has dedicated his life to giving back to his community. He lives with his wife, Marion, in the Charlestown neighborhood of Springfield. They are expecting their first child this winter.
