WERKHEISER CANVASSES ENTIRE DISTRICT IN SINGLE WEEKEND

"MEGA Canvass"  Reaches Nearly 10,000 Voters in 2 Days

(SPRINGFIELD, VA)--In an unprecedented feat of grassroots engagement in a Delegate race, Greg Werkheiser's campaign for Delegate knocked on the doors of nearly 10,000 voters across the district this weekend.  Werkheiser's team of active volunteers, known as the "WerkForce," sent 70 volunteers door-to-door in every precinct in Virginia's 42nd District Saturday and Sunday to talk to voters about the issues facing Springfield, Lorton, and Fairfax Station.

"I am honored to have the support of so many active volunteers in our campaign," said Werkheiser.  "Voters in the 42nd know we can do better here in Fairfax County and this remarkable weekend was an opportunity to show that we can make great progress with hard work and new ideas."

"This unprecedented feat of grassroots engagement shows that Greg's campaign is about bringing his message of opportunity directly to the voters," said Werkheiser Campaign Manager David Mason.  "While Dave Albo tries to buy the election with Richmond special interest money, Greg and the WerkForce are earning the support of voters one-on-one, with shoe leather and fresh ideas."

Greg Werkheiser is the Democratic nominee for Delegate in Virginia's 42nd House District.  He is a nonprofit director and educator who has dedicated his life to giving back to his community.  He lives with his wife, Marion, in the Charlestown neighborhood of Springfield.  They are expecting their first child this winter.
