"Greg & Marion Live in Petersburg"

Albo's favorite tall tale.  Get the scoop on where Greg Werkheiser has really lived full-time for the past 7 years (hint: it's Springfield!).

TALL TALE

Ever notice how tall tales never quite stay the same between the tellings?  Same story here.

The First Version (May 2009):  "In 2005...Greg Werkheiser, moved into West Springfield for the sole purpose of trying to win a seat in the House of Delegates...he bought a house in Petersburg, Virginia...moved there and started a non-profit to help people in Petersburg."

The Second Version (Sept. 2009):  "Werkheiser works and owns a home in Petersburg, VA."

The Third Version (Sept. 2009):   “Werkheiser may support the unfair formulas because he he owns this house in Petersburg.”

So what’s the real deal?

TRUTH

Greg Werkheiser has never lived in Petersburg.

He has not only lived full-time in Springfield since 2002, but Dave Albo has visited Greg’s Springfield home and had coffee at his dining room table. You can read Greg’s job and residency timeline below.

There are NO public records indicating that Greg or Marion have ever resided in Petersburg, VA.  Greg’s drivers license, auto registration, and voter registration have all been in Springfield for the last 7 years.  Greg has paid his taxes from Springfield for the last 7 years.

Mutiple neighbors of Greg and Marion Werkheiser—including Albo’s own 3rd grade teacher—have have confronted Albo on this story, confirming to him that Greg has indeed lived next door, across the street, or down the block from each of them in Springfield for nearly a decade.  Albo refuses to listen.  Greg has challenged Albo to prove any of his claims with documents, witnesses or newspaper reports.

Albo has yet to respond.
